Frequently asked questions

What is Warriors Play Too?

Warriors Play Too is a Dallas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Maddie Muller, a childhood cancer survivor. Our mission is to provide children undergoing active cancer treatment with toys that encourage active play, helping them experience joy and a sense of "normalcy" during a difficult time.

What inspired the start of this organization?

The organization was inspired by Maddie’s own journey with ovarian dysgerminoma. During her chemotherapy, she found that riding her HoverflyKart brightened her days and helped her feel like a normal kid despite the fatigue and nausea. She wanted to share that feeling of freedom and fun with other children facing similar battles.

Where is Warriors Play Too located?

We are based in Dallas, Texas, and primarily serve children in the surrounding areas, including those receiving treatment at facilities like Children’s Hospital of Dallas.

Who is eligible to receive a toy?

We provide toys to children who are currently undergoing active cancer treatment.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes. Warriors Play Too is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

What kind of toys do you provide?

We focus on toys that encourage "active play." This often includes items like hoverboards and power wheels, which allow kids to get outside and stay active even when they may have limited energy.

100% of the donations designated for toys are used to purchase and deliver play equipment directly to qualified families.
